Mind-Body Medicine explores how behavioural patterns may relate to underlying emotional motivations, helping clients better understand why a pattern developed and how it may be influencing their health, relationships and wellbeing today.
Mind-Body Medicine is based on the understanding that the mind and body function as one interconnected system. Thoughts, emotions and life experiences can influence the nervous system, hormones, breathing, muscle tension, digestion, energy and other physiological processes. At the same time, changes within the body can affect mood, cognition and behaviour.
Rather than examining physical symptoms and emotional concerns separately, mind and body therapy explores how they may be influencing one another.
